Myopia Control

Myopia or nearsightedness is on the rise. Currently, over 40% of the US is nearsighted and by 2050 that is expected to reach 50%. As prescriptions get higher so do risks of sight-threatening complications such as glaucoma, cataracts, retinal detachments, and maculopathy. While glasses or contacts are necessary for good vision, other treatments are now available that have been shown to slow progression as children grow.
